Somehow my closet keeps getting smaller and smaller, and I feel like I have less to wear… except that my closet is the same size… and I keep accumulating more “stuff”. Clearly I’m in need of some major spring cleaning.
Spring cleaning isn’t as easy in execution as it is in theory. All those tips – if you haven’t worn it in awhile, then you won’t miss it (BUT what if it comes back in style?!), someone else will love it more than you do (BUT will they really appreciate my BEAUTIFUL but obnoxiously heavy Alexander Wang handbag that I can never use?!), the list goes on. And THEN there are those times where you start your spring cleaning and find those hidden gems that you haven’t worn in awhile, a long while. Such a long while that they are actually okay to wear again.
And that is exactly what happened here – a Topshop animal print blazer that I purchased several years ago (which I have worn more times in the last month than I have in the last 5 years combined) and a pair of red pumps (because every girl needs at least 1 pair of red shoes). Note that I don’t encourage hoarding but there are positives outcomes to even the worst things.
