Full, midi skirts make for a classic and polished look, especially for the office. But can it also look more effortlessly chic? I’m all about making the most out of my wardrobe, so for this installment of my new series “maximizing the wardrobe”, I figured out 3 ways to tone down the full skirt to make it casual for everyday. Instead of the full green skirt I wore on Monday, I’m using a Topshop skirt that is currently in my shopping cart.
Flats are a great way to make any outfit more casual (and comfortable). Because of the length of a midi skirt, it may seem the most flattering to wear a heel. Thanks to the nude sandal, which gives us the option to wear a flat and helps to elongate the legs.
Denim jackets are a must have and one of the most versatile pieces out there. They can be paired with every dress or skirt you have, and the same goes with the full skirt. You can wear the skirt as you would into the office, and just throw the denim jacket over for the casual twist.
The last option is to swap out your office top to a graphic tee (tucked into the skirt, of course). Simple and cute.
Oh, and there is the most casual and comfortable option: pair all 3 together! Tee with denim jacket, midi skirt, and nude sandals.
